Seasons
Carrier has five seasons in contrast to the four seasons of English:

dak'et Fall and khui Winter correspond closely to the English seasons, but Carrier divides Spring and Summer into three seasons. 'olulh begins when the snow begins to melt. It becomes shen when the ground is bare and plants begin to grow. When plants are fully grown and it is hot, it is daing.
