soonuyasoo•nu•yaᙎᘄᘓNmoney, silver

Etymology: The immediate source of this word is Plains Cree sōniyāw ᓲᓂᔮᐤ. It has been proposed that originated in Northern Iroquian, where it apparently meant ‟silver”, from which it was borrowed into Proto-Central Algonquian, one of the descendants of which is Saulteaux. Plains Cree borrowed it from Saulteaux. See Colette (2020). Some people explain this as meaning ‟he is walks around well” in Carrier, since a person is in good shape when he has money in his pocket. However, there is no such established expression.
