Yun Hadet'aiYun Ha•de•t'aiᘐᐣ ᐸᑓᗧᐉNGoat Island

  

The island in the Fraser River just upstream of the Highway 16 bridge. Also known as Railway Island due to the presence in 1912-1914 of a construction camp for the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway Bridge.

Etymology: ‟land that sinks” because it is from time to time completely submerged when the river is high.
