Etymology: A loan from Gitxsan lax̲gibuu ‟wolf clan”, probably via Witsuwit'en and Babine. The word was evidently borrowed as lukhgiboo as it has undergone the sound change of ʌx to oh, which took place in the first part of the 20th century.
