Verb Schema   let's

Dakelh does not use a separate word or phrase to express this meaning. Instead, the optative affirmative form of the verb is used. Since Dakelh distinguishes first person dual subjects from first person plural subjects, there are different forms for "let us (two)" and "let us (three or more)". Optative verb forms are generally glossed with "may", e.g. yats'oolhtuk , q.v., which among other things can mean ‟let's talk”, is glossed ‟we (3+) may speak”.
