Lahal

Lahal is a game in which two seated teams face each other. One team hides two “bones” behind their backs. The other teams tries to guess in which hand an opposing player is holding a bone. A correct guess is rewarded with a score stick. The game is known either as lahal or nuhuyu'a. The bones are known as nut'a, which also used to be a name for the game itself.

There are verbs carry (sdo:uo) in a loop, play lahal and win at lahal. Playing lahal may also be described, particularly in a traditional context in which other forms of gambling such as poker did not exist, by the verb gamble, play cards.
