Etymology: Apparently, ‟it sucks on an area”, with t'ukw ‟to suck” and hoo derived from the areal prefix wh followed either by conjugation i or conative oo. Although it almost has to mean ‟sucker”, not only is the detailed morphological analysis unclear, it is also unclear why the valence prefix is not lh.
