The neyi is a large human-like animal, hairy all over except for its face, said to live alone. They come together for an annual gathering. People are generally scared of them.

Etymology: The word literally means ‟person eater”. The use of this word for ‟sasquatch” is probably a recent innovation. In other dialects, there is a distinction between the cannibals and the sasquatch.
