Root: ya₁ «walk-1»
For one person to walk on one pair of limbs. Applies to walking using only one pair of limbs, as is typical of human beings, in contrast to walking using all limbs,which is expressed by get$_1$. It is typically used in reference to walking on the hind legs, but is appropriate when describing a person walking on his or her hands. The walking of birds, which have only one pair of limbs, may be described using either this verb or get$_1$.
